Supporting local apprentices
During 2016 we invested in new server system for the business. This allowed us to become more energy efficient and gave us the capacity to run a faster and smarter system. The next question was what to do with the old server?
Dan Kenward our IT Support Engineer recently passed his apprenticeship which saw him achieve the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Professional Competence for IT and Telecoms Professionals (QCF) and Earson BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles (QCF) qualifications with 3aaa. He suggested we donate the old servers to 3aaa who run a number of different courses and apprenticeships for young people.
The old servers which have been wiped clean where dropped of at the Maidstone 3aaa office. Where they will be used by the students taking the Level 3 apprenticeship for IT, Software and professional telecoms.
